Cottage Location in Askrigg

Hill Crest is on Main Street in the heart of Askrigg. A charming Georgian town house, that has been painstakingly restored, retaining period features but with modern creature comforts.

The house accommodates six people over three floors. Fully renovated in 2016 by the current owners this historic property is full of original character and charm with exposed wooden beams, flagged floors, blended with antique furniture and a classic decorative style. Outside, from the kitchen, there is an open courtyard area which leads directly into a charming south facing garden.

High walls and deep herbaceous flower beds and lawn offer a sunny sheltered area to relax and entertain in. The house is close to the shop and three very good pubs all of which offer excellent food, drinks and atmosphere. Askrigg has a wide range of activities available.

There are numerous walks, graded from easy dog walks to the more adventurous and challenging hill walks. The tour de France passed through the village and retracing the route is a popular activity for keen cyclists. The famous Buttertubs pass is within easy reach. We have a secure area for guests bikes.
